Please continue to keep my cousin Shannon and her three boys in your prayers. I know it's easy to forget. After the funeral, the flower arrangements die and we all go back to our normal lives. It's easy to forget because most of us still have our families alive and well. We get to see them everyday and their smiling faces, and she doesn't.

It's such a relief to know that our Father never forgets. He sends His Comforter to bind up the brokenhearted and give rest to the weary. He is near to those crushed in spirit and He will never leave nor forsake. It is such a relief to know it's ok to be mad, to be hurt, to ask questions of why, and to wonder all the what-ifs that crowd the mind. He is not surprised by our response and He is ready for it all. He welcomes us in with arms ready to hold us and heal us despite our doubts, questions, and even anger. In His arms we are safe, just as Ryan is safe.
